THE OPPORTUNITY  

You will provide a degree of task level autonomy with guidance and direction provided by senior specialists, and will assist in maintaining background computer and network services.  This will include transitioning new solutions and change into the IT environment.

Key work activities include, but are not limited to, application delivery and support, service desk operations support, network operations, IT asset management and procurement, and project support.

ABOUT YOU

You will hold a relevant degree, diploma or certification, or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education in computing or information systems.  You will have demonstrated experience working with Microsoft Windows operating systems and platforms along with an understanding of network systems and protocols, including wireless technologies. You will also have experience with Microsoft and Citrix virtualisation platforms. As some travel is required between work sites, a current driver’s licence is essential.

Successful applicants will have demonstrated knowledge of service desk operations, good problem solving skills, excellent time-management and communication skills, and an eye for detail.  The ability to work effectively in a team environment as well as autonomously is essential. Experience working with industrial control systems and technologies in a processing or manufacturing environment would be highly regarded.

It is an inherent requirement of this position that work be performed safely whilst upholding Huon’s Values. The appointed person must be able to build and maintain strong working relationships with key stakeholders. Knowledge of work health and safety regulations is preferred.
