About The Role

Over the next 18 months, Scope is embarking on a major People & Culture change program to deliver new People systems, processes and ways of working to improve our efficiency and match the strong growth plans of the organisation. This has already seen our organisation grow from 1700 to over 3500 staff in the last 12 months. This change program will also include a comprehensive overhaul of related IT systems and business processes and the implementation of a recently developed Organisational Capability framework.  These changes will also allow our P&C Business Partners to work more closely with our operational teams to equip line managers with the skills, systems and leadership capability needed to deliver high quality, person-centred service to our clients.

Reporting to the General Manager People & Culture, you will play a key role in providing support and advice on both local and organisational level programs and liaise with other areas of P&C such as Recruitment and L&D to ensure that P&C services and products are best aligned with operational needs during a period of strong change and organisational growth. This role is also responsible for:

  • Divisional awareness and compliance with Scope P&C policies and procedures
  • Working closely with the OH&S team on the implementation of OH&S initiatives, training and return to work plans
  • Ensuring the execution of induction and training in the operations and liaising with Operational Management to address specific Learning & Development needs
  • Implementation of the performance management process and providing advice/support to line management
  • Managing the grievance process and conducting IR/ER investigations
  • Implementation of Employee Opinion Surveys and 'Change Management' methodology 

About You

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Relevant experience in professional P&C / HR Generalist roles
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications
  • Practical knowledge of contemporary and progressive P&C / HR practices
  • Strong analytical and decision making skills
  • Organisational and project management skills
  • Proficient in MS Office and other relevant HR systems/technologies
  • Previous experience in the Not-for-Profit Disability Services Sector desirable

Please note, the successful applicant will be required to hold a Working with Children Check and a Police Check issued in the last 12 months for employment in the Disability sector.  If you have lived or worked for a continuous period of 12 months or more in another country within the last 10 years, a certified International Police Check from that country or countries will also be required.
