The role

This is a rare opportunity to join the Coles Strategy team and help us tackle the most difficult problems at the core of our business. As part of one of the most exciting in-house strategy teams in Australia, you’ll work on a wide range of projects which produce real outcomes and bring significant value to our customers and our business.

Your key responsibilities will be to:

  • provide fact-based insight to assist in the development and delivery of business strategies
  • conduct analytical problem solving on strategic issues
  • work collaboratively with senior stakeholders in the business as thought partners and drivers of execution on strategic initiatives

To be successful, you’ll have:

  • a Bachelor of Commerce, Finance, Engineering, or equivalent / higher qualification
  • demonstrated working experience post degree
  • proven experience in complex analytical problem solving
  • a high level of proficiency using appropriate analytical tools especially excel
  • previous experience in managing work-streams within projects
  • experience in writing or contributing to board-level presentations and reports
  • experience in presenting to senior stakeholders
  • previous experience in working with cross-functional business units
  • the ability to work in a high-performance team environment
