Breeder Administration

The position of Breeder Administration is responsible for maintaining accurate and timely information in relation to the breeder department. The position reports to the Regional Livestock Manager and has direct working relationships with other co-workers at all breeder farms as well as indirect dealings with other livestock departments.

Objectives of the Role

To ensure work undertaken is carried out in a timely and accurate manner and to provide assistance to Breeder Farm Managers and Livestock Area Managers - Breeders.

Essential Qualifications / Licences

  • Driver’s License
  • Legally entitled to work in Australia (Australian citizen or permanent resident status)
  • Excellent people skills
  • Understanding of WHS, EMS and CoR systems, policies and procedures

Critical Skills and Experience Required

  • Excellent communication skills both written and oral
  • Organisational skills
  • Ability to liaise with personnel on all levels as well as contractors and visitors
  • Exceptional attention to detail and data entry skills

Preferred Skills and Experience

  • Experience in Microsoft word and excel
  • Experience in database
  • Personal Attributes Required
  • Ability to liaise at all levels
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities
  • Be accountable, accept responsibility
  • Limits of Authority
  • Raise purchase orders under appropriate authorisation only
  • Communicate with customers, contractors and other businesses as permitted under the scope of the position limits
  • PMTS data entry for Breeder farms
  • Feed orders compiling for Breeder farms

To be eligible for these positions, candidates must:

  • Not have any birds, pigs or poultry at your residence
  • Not have anyone living with you that work on any poultry or piggery sites
  • Have own transport and current driver's licence
  • Possess a strong work ethic
