Financial Controller

A rare opportunity to join a growing organisation seeking a commercially astute finance professional to lead their business to further success.

Client Details

Michael Page has been exclusively engaged with one of Australia's leading businesses in the health industry. With their head office based in Mount Waverley, our client is a provider of healthcare products to the hospital, pharmacy and aged care sectors, proudly expanding their operations from a SME to a business that now employs over 400 individuals. They are now seeking a commercially focused and professional finance leader to take the business through their next stage of evolution.

Description

You will be mentoring and managing a team of 4 fostering an environment of high performance and dynamic culture. In your role you will play a commercial finance role, assisting various General Managers with strategic business cases in their tender process. Reporting to the Group Financial Controller and CEO you will further drive the business through your main responsibilities:

  • Ensuring month end deadline is met
  • Preparation of monthly Board Reports
  • Drive and preparation of divisional budgets, forecasts & cashflow reporting
  • Operational forecast and labour analysis
  • Reviewing and coordination of month end posting & accruals
  • Reviewing of Balance Sheet reconciliations and ensuring accuracy
  • Ensure the integrity of GL and all transactions
  • Preparation and delivery of financial reports
  • Coordinate and drive statutory reporting, partnering with external auditors and completion of audit process.

Profile

You will bring strong business partnering experience with an ability to build trust and rapport across the team and internal stakeholders. CA/CPA qualified, ideally you would have begun your career in a Big 4/Mid-tier environment with 5 to 7 years experience in industry, healthcare or pharmaceutical. You are a solutions focused individual with the capacity to work independently whilst striving for excellence in your work.
