The Role

The Administration Support Officer is responsible for providing proficient and professional administration support to the Townsville Diocese in accordance with the St Vincent de Paul Society policies, procedures and the philosophy of the Society.

 

To be successful in the role, you will meet the following criteria:

  • Demonstrated experience and understanding in general office support functions, data entry and the ability to perform a broad range of clerical functions.
  • Understanding and ability to effectively use a computer whilst demonstrating ability in MS Office programs.
  • Ability to work unsupervised at times and organize own work.
  • Ability to contribute positively within a multi-disciplinary team environment.
  • Demonstrate a friendly, positive attitude, with a willingness to learn
  • Demonstrated communication and time manage skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentially at all times.
  • Demonstrate genuine respect for all people regardless of their situation.
  • Understanding of, and commitment to, the philosophy of the St Vincent de Paul Society Queensland and an ability to work in accordance with policies and procedures to promote the values and mission of the Society.
  • Understanding of risk management principles including current WHS legislation and regulations
  • Understand that duties and responsibilities identified in the position description are an overview of expectations when the document is developed an the position may mature throughout the employee relationship including duties and responsibilities required to be performed
  • Demonstrate genuine respect for all people regardless of their situation
  • Understanding of and commitment to the philosophy of the St Vincent de Paul Society Queensland and an ability to work in accordance with policies and procedures to promote the values and mission of the Society
  • Current Queensland Driver's licence
  • Satisfactorily completion of a National Criminal History Records Check prior to commencement and every 3 years thereafter
