Customer Service Officer (Call Centre - Inbound) | Ipswich

We are seeking an experienced Customer Service Officer for an upcoming temporary role with a highly professional inbound government customer contact centre in Ipswich. Duties include receiving enquiries from customers, providing information, updating systems and completing necessary follow-up administrative action.

The hours may vary in line with business needs and work volume, however, we require availability for between 3 and 5 casual shifts per week (shift lengths may vary but are rostered between 8:00am and 4:30pm) on a Monday to Friday roster.

To be considered, you will need to demonstrate:

  • Previous call centre experience (minimum 1 - 2 years), including a proven ability to meet KPIs in a high volume environment
  • Demonstrated commitment to high quality customer service with the ability to understand complex customer enquiries and manage customer expectations whilst adhering to policies and processes
  • Accurate keyboarding skills (minimum 40 wpm @ 98% accuracy)
  • Sound technical skills with proven ability to grasp new systems quickly and work across multiple screens whilst handling a customer enquiry
  • Flexibility with casual roster arrangement (rostering requirements range from 3-5 shifts per week and shift lengths may vary but are rostered between 8:00am and 4:30pm Monday to Friday)
  • Availability to commence with minimal notice
