Desktop Support - Level 2 - Active Directory / Exchange

This role will suit a Junior to Mid Level desktop support professional with an amazing can-do attitude. 

The company

My client is a rapidly growing ASX Listed Financial Services company looking for an experienced Desktop Support professional to join their  IT team based in Sydney.

They have a long track record of offering high-quality professional advice to private, corporate and institutional investors across Australia.

Your Role

Reporting to the IT Manager, your primary responsibility will be to provide day-to-day desktop and network infrastructure support to the Sydney office.
You will work closely with the Network Administration team in Melbourne to ensure an efficient and quality service is provided to all stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Provide level 2 technical support to end-users both face to face and over the phone
  • Network fault diagnosis, installations, and maintenance
    • Performing installations and upgrades to IT equipment including PC's, printers, faxes, scanners, and other IT peripherals
  • Investigating and resolving problems at the desktop level and escalating issues to other teams where appropriate
  • Assisting with installations and upgrades of the desktop environment and other internal systems.
Qualifications & Experience

  • 2-3 years' desktop support experience in a fast-paced environment
  • Working knowledge of MS Windows 7, MS Office/Exchange and Active Directory
  • Strong customer service and communication skills including the ability to understand technical problems and to clearly explain solutions
  • Experience in MS Lync or MS Skype for Business an advantage
