AutoCAD Draftsperson

Saunders Havill Group is a leading and dynamic multi-disciplinary consulting firm seeking an entry-level AutoCAD Draftsperson to join our team.

About the Role

We invite applications from candidates who are enthusiastic and willing learners to join an existing team of 5 Draftspersons. Training and mentorship, along with the attributes below will enable a successful career with Saunders Havill Group.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • drafting of development proposal plans (concept plans, proposal plans, building envelope plans etc.);
  • drafting of structure plans;
  • drafting of survey plans, detail plans, disclosure plans & as constructed plans;
  • conversion and extraction of data from GIS (Global Information Systems) dataset using GIS software and preparation of plans in conjunction with AutoCAD;
  • liaison with the Survey, Planning and Urban Design teams;
  • liaison with Clients, Councils, Architects and Engineers; and
  • QA of prepared plans and statistical data.

It will be viewed favourably if you:

  • have experience with AutoCAD or similar CAD software.
  • have experience with Global Mapper or similar GIS software.
  • enjoy working both independently and within a team environment.
  • are responsive to mentoring.
  • are able to meet deadlines and achieve performance targets in a busy work environment.
  • have strong attention to detail.
  • hold demonstrated time management skills.
  • have outstanding communication skills as you will be liaising with clients, engineers and councils.
  • are competent in analytics and mathematics.
