Project Engineer

A new opportunity has arisen for a Project Engineer to join Comdain's Regional team based in Echuca, Victoria.
 

The Project Engineer is responsible for the coordinating and managing of the safe, timely and quality delivery of Capital Works to budget. This is an excellent opportunity to build industry contacts and develop your career. 
As the successful candidate, you will demonstrate the following;

  • Perform technical, engineering, inspection, scheduling, planning, procurement and quality control functions for assigned project issues;
  • Prepare and interpret blueprints, schematic drawings, layouts and technical construction specifications;
  • Coordinate the activities of the design and construction teams.
  • Assisting in the procurement process by developing scope documents, evaluating tenders and managing subcontracts.
  • Ability to travel between our regional areas of Victoria and NSW, working in remote areas
  • Experience in civil construction and project management and manage field staff
  • Procure materials in line with specifications and schedule.

What do you do bring?
  
This role is available to Project Engineers with 2-5 years’ experience. Experience within civil construction field will be advantageous. A Bachelor of Civil Engineering or related field is required.
  
In addition to the above, we require an individual with;

  • An ability to manage customer and customer situations; responding promptly to customer needs and meet commitments.
  • Clear communication coupled with group presentation skills with capability to speak clearly and persuasively as well as listening and responding well to questions;
  • Self-starter with ability to work with minimal supervision;
  • Ability to deliver practical solutions with attention to the required detail to satisfy business objectives.
  • Applicants must have a drivers’ license valid in Victoria or NSW or be able to transfer.
