CEO & General Management, General/Business Unit Manager
One of the largest Australian manufacturers in the import/export/distribution industry, our client is well respected and enjoys a reputation of excellence in the market. 

This role would see you as the General Manager of one of their divisions, responsible for developing and implementing strategies for sales, supply chain and operational management to meet agreed organisational performance targets. 

  • Maintain and develop organisational culture, values and reputation in the markets in which the organisation operates and with staff, customers, suppliers and partners
  • Identify, develop, direct and implement the business strategy to ensure sales and operational targets are met
  • Manage the operational activities of the business including manufacturing, sales, marketing, purchasing, distribution and warehousing to achieve agreed profit and growth targets
  • Manage the recruitment, selection and development of the leadership team, including managing performance to achieve required results.
  •  Report to corporate head office on business plans and performance to plan.
  • Ensure the business meets and exceeds its safety obligations
  • Finance & strategy : strategic planning, maximise performance, lead and drive industrial divisions, own forecast/budget/reporting on aspects of profitability / capital expenditure and operational performance, revenue and expenditure management, monitor needs/trends/opportunities
  • Operational : continuous improvement, procurement management, procedures, legal and statutory compliance, technology
  • Sales : identify profitable opportunities, develop products, monitor performance, establish and implement strategy, negotiate deals, business development, pipeline management
  • Human Resources : performance management and training implementation
  • WHS, Quality and Environmental experience : framework, safety plan minimise risk, investigate incidents, ensure compliance
Are you a true GM with a background in a variety of industries? Do you have a high EQ? Have you had experience running both corporate and non-corporate businesses? Do you have commercial acumen and experience buying and selling entities (preferred)?
