The role

Cover Victoria with full internal sales support

Fully autonomous role

We are currently looking for a Business Development Manager for Victoria within our Industrial division.

Based in Melbourne or Sydney, you will be responsible for the sales growth of Energy and Datacom Cables and accessories for Prysmian to Industrial Applications across Victoria. Central to the role will be the identification and development of Strategic Projects within the Infrastructure, OEM, Renewable, Rail and Transportation segments, whilst being a part of our world class "Sell It" career program.

The project pipeline in Victoria is brimming with opportunity, so your success will be driven by your skill in early engagement, the identification of project needs and solutions, and your capacity to influence project execution. The successful candidate will enjoy the chase, comfortable negotiating and closing deals in the hundreds of thousands, often millions of dollars.

 

Who we are looking for:

We're are looking for a Business Development Manager who is eager to succeed and capable of moving in a diverse market with resilience and a customer oriented approach. 

We are looking for the following skills and motivations: 

  • Proven track record in tracking and winning Strategic Projects in the Industrial Sector.
  • Critical that you are internally motivated, can operate on your own and enjoy autonomy.
  • Prior experience working and dealing with large corporate organisations in B2B environments.
  • Knowledge or experience with cable applications is preferable but not essential
     
    This is a dynamic role with a large amount of autonomy to make decisions within certain guidelines. You will have daily, monthly and annual volume and margin KPI's set and your success within the business is measured against these targets. The successful candidate will have the ability to make quick decisions, do a deal, are self-driven to success & cope with a high paced job where they are not always in control of the workload.
