Position Summary:

The objective of this pivotal role is to focus on Sales and Service & TAM delivery to ensure that Service grows significantly through a hardworking, motivated and accountable team.

Areas of Responsibility

Leadership

Lead a hardworking, engaged and high-performing team.

Ensure that team members are clear on objectives and are held to account appropriately.

Embed gold standard training so people can develop in their careers.

Customer Satisfaction

 Maintain customer happiness at target levels and promptly resolve customer issues.

Finance

Take ownership for financial performance for the Service LOB.

Monitor financial performance monthly and review estimates versus actuals across the district project deck to continuously improve Service & Sales operational metrics.

Effectively lead the implementation of productivity improving process changes related to project delivery.

Cost Control and Productivity

Take responsibility for driving costs down to be competitive in the market place.

Control cost and improve productivity through the implementation of effective methods, standard processes and engagement of the Supply Chain team.

Ensure the availability of tools, equipment, and materials required while maintaining and controlling inventory levels.

Resource Planning

Ensure Service & Sales are resourced properly across the region and that sharing and teamwork across Districts is encouraged.

Develop effective partnerships to ensure an adequate pool of resources is available.

Performance Management

Lead the performance management process, conducting performance appraisals, and providing mentorship, training, career planning, development, salary administration and reward and recognition for the team.

Team Building and Communication

Build effective teams committed to organisational goals, fostering collaboration among team members and between teams.

Change Management

Be the change management leader for the team and enthusiastically implement agreed initiatives.

Your education level and experience

  • You will have a relevant degree in an Engineering or related discipline
  • You must demonstrate General Management experience within a significant Service based business.
  • Credible sales/ Business Development experience will be valued
  • You’ll be ambitious and zealous for reaching and over achieving targets
  • You'll have a proven track record in leadership within Honeywell or similar organisation(s)
  • You will have validated experience in leading and influencing a diverse group of employees within a service based business

Knowledge and skills (general and technical)

  • Extensive Management experience in a major, service based business with P&L Accountability
  • Strong sales, branch management and operations experience.
  • Connected Buildings Industry experience is highly desired.
  • Strong tactical and strategic skills.
  • Ability to motivate and build high performing teams.
  • Process/systems and results orientated.
  • Ability to leads change through exploration and learning.
  • Ability to provide reliable judgment in complex situations.
