Packaging Services Manager

About the role

Reporting to the Reliability Manager, this key role will be responsible for supporting the UHT Plant Downstream Packaging Equipment and provide leadership to the team and overall operations/reliability of the site.

Additional responsibilities include:

  • Developing and implementing training programs for our technicians to carry out change over;
  • Implement initiatives to improve efficiency on lines and increase capacity;
  • Developing and carry out training programs for our Operators to successfully run line to, improve efficiency on lines and increase capacity;
  • Creating and maintaining preventative maintenance plans;
  • Overseeing the installation of equipment and ensure its fit for purpose; and
  • Coordinating electrical & mechanical diagnosis with panel suppliers and analyse and assess quality control.

About you

  • Completed Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field e.g. industrial, mechanical, electrical or mechatronics, or have a trade background that can demonstrate leadership and improvement skills;
  • Formal training and or highly experienced working within a high speed FMCG Aseptic Packaging operation across multiple lines, this includes UHT, filling and packaging processes;
  • Ability coach and mentor the reliability and operations teams to continually improve line performance;
  • Provide a culture of inclusion, ensuring all of the team members feel valued;
  • Ability to adopt a highly agile approach to their work practice and team management
  • Demonstrated use of lean manufacturing methodologies; and
  • Ability to support a 24x7, 365 days per year production environment.
