Support Consultant
This is a unique and exciting opportunity for a passionate support person with exceptional customer service skills to work for an innovative International Company. 

Established for over 25 years, our Client is a leader in their niche field (specialist software for the Engineering sector).  They currently seek a dedicated and experienced Consultant to join their support team based in Sydney (North Shore Train Line). Looking after the Company's Australian Customer base, your responsibilities will be as follows:
  • Providing 1st and 2nd level support to clients via phone and online (80% of the role)
  • Assisting with the scoping and implementation of the company-owned suite of products
  • Contribute to product training and knowledge sharing within the Application Support and Consulting Teams
  • Working with the Development and Testing Teams in testing pre-release software builds
  • Working with the Development Team in identifying, scoping and specifying improvements to existing software functionality
  • Continual learning and improvement of knowledge of software products
  • Longer term you will be trained and developed to provide training and/or other consulting services in both Australia and NZ, both in classroom format as well as bespoke training.
To be considered for this newly created role you will have the ability to:
  • Communicate professionally by phone, email and in person
  • Cultivate positive relationships with clients and colleagues
  • Communicate technical information in non-technical terms
  • Organise and prioritise tasks
  • Think clearly under pressure
  • Analyse and troubleshoot issues with little supervision
The ideal candidate for this role will ideally have a computer science qualification with 2-5 years experience in a Support role. Any prior exposure to Implementation & Training highly regarded.  You will ideally also have a strong knowledge of MS Office and relational databases as well as intermediate knowledge of SQL scripts (preferred but not essential).  

Initially you will be office (Sydney) based however there are travel opportunities (NZ for training and WA for an annual conference in April).  In the longer term (1-2 years) the role will require regular international and interstate travel (approximately one week per month).  Most importantly you will be someone who is enthusiastic, personable, self-motivated and ready to embark on an exciting career with this successful business in a pivotal and dynamic position!
