Graduate Engineer

  • Temporary Full Time - 2 years
  • Band 5 - $69,659 per annum plus superannuation

Council is seeking a Graduate Engineer to deliver a range of customer focused services in a range of civil engineering disciplines at Council.  You will get an opportunity to gain experience and employment in the various areas over a two year period.

You will be contributing to the delivery of projects and services to our community relating to:

  • Engineering Services - traffic, drainage and development enquiries, projects and approvals.
  • Sustainable Assets - asset management, long term works planning and asset systems
  • Capital Works Delivery - project managing capital works infrastructure projects.
  • Building and Facilities – project managing building and facilities maintenance projects.

About you

To be successful in the Graduate Engineer role you will bring:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in civil engineering or equivalent
  • A high level of computer literacy and personal computer application experience
  • A Keen and enthusiastic approach to working as part of a team
  • A Desire to provide excellent quality services to the community in the Local Government environment area.
  • Sound communication skills - oral and report writing and ability to communicate effectively and politely with customers

You will need to provide evidence of your right to work in Australia, certified copies of your qualifications, and a current Driver Licence. You must also be willing to provide a Pre-Employment Health Declaration and undertake a National Police Record Check and a working with children check.
