Groomer/Snow Maker - Lake Mountain Alpine Resort - 2020 Snow Season

Now recruiting Groomer/Snow Maker staff

If you love the outdoors and working with a positive, hard working team then come and join us at Lake Mountain Alpine Resort!

You will have strong client focus and innovative snow management, surface preparation, cross-country trail experience, Terrain Park operations and machinery operation skills. You will be driving heavy equipment, ensuring that the snow condition is maximised to retain the depth of snow required in the snowfields and trails, and to ensure that guests are able to ski/board to their maximum potential. You will work within a team environment and have a proactive and hands on approach as they respond to the needs of Resort.

You will be working in extreme conditions. Safety is our number 1 value that applies to all that visit our Resort.

All roles are required to have flexibility with working in other departments, depending on skills. Flexibility to work weekends is a requirement.

This role will require night shift availability!

What we need from you: 

  • Willingness to work split shifts at night and in inclement weather
  • Must be competent using high pressure equipment
  • Understanding of Snow-making Core Elements
  • Must be physically fit
  • Working at Heights Ticket
  • Value and understand the importance of safety in the workplace
  • Willing to work long hours in inclement weather
  • Be willing to extend to further duties to ensure seamless delivery of customer experience
  • Positive and supportive attitude
  • Available to work weekends
  • Previous alpine industry experience is advantageous but not necessary
  • Previous experience in Grooming/Snowmaking in a cross country skiing environment would be advantageous

  • Competitive rate, dependent on experience and skills. The rate will be as per the SARMB EA 2018, Band 3; between $24.88p/h & $37.13p/h.
