Our Plant Metallurgist role:

This position is within the Technical Services Department in the Processing Technical team. The team’s services to site includes process optimisation and control, metallurgical accounting, production planning, project support, mineralogy, chemical assay and metallurgical test work. The team is looking for an experienced Plant Metallurgist to join them on a permanent Monday – Friday roster.

The Plant Metallurgist is responsible for:

Monitoring and improving plant performance across crushing, grinding, flotation and dewatering processes

Driving and improving production management and data systems

• Managing metallurgical accounting and production planning activities

• Supporting projects across Technical Services and Operations Departments

To do this the successful applicant will work closely with the metallurgical, laboratory, projects, reliability, control systems and operations teams across site.

The successful applicant will possess the following essential criteria:

• Tertiary qualifications in Metallurgy, Chemical Engineering or Mineral Processing

• Demonstrated experience in mineral processing in base or precious metals

The following criteria will be highly regarded:

Detailed knowledge of mineralogy

• OSA and PSI operation

• Experience in 6Sigma or similar

• Process control/loop tuning

• Knowledge of OSI Pi, database management & Power BI
