Human Resources Coordinator ( 8 months Maternity Leave Cover)

ABOUT THE POSITION

An opportunity exists for a suitably skilled HR generalist to join the Bickford's team on a fulltime fixed term contract for a period of 8 months to cover Maternity Leave.  Reporting to the Group Human Resources Manager, the role will assist with supporting and executing HR strategies, initiatives, policies and processes to enhance the effective management of our people.  Based at our modern manufacturing facility in Salisbury South, the role will provide a range of HR services to both Bickford's and our sister companies nationally including Vok Beverages and Wheel&Barrow Homewares.  Key responsibilities include:

  • Recruitment, selection and induction
  • Driving exceptional people management practices
  • Supporting departments in applying and executing HR Policy and Process
  • Executing HR initiatives and improvement projects
  • Maintaining HR systems and undertaking administrative tasks
  • Support to the Payroll and WorkCover functions

Tertiary qualifications in HR or a related discipline coupled with previous experience in a similar HR generalist role is required; exposure to a manufacturing environment will be an advantage.  Successful candidates must be commercially astute, able to apply various communication styles and present practical solutions to fit the business needs.  Strong attention to detail, ability to juggle competing priorities and drive initiatives are essential attributes.  Previous experience in payroll, WorkCover and return to work is preferred but not essential.
