Your Opportunity

The program you will be working with is Triple Care Farm located in Robertson. Supporting young people 16-24 to engage and participate in the AOD Withdrawal and Rehabilitation Program. This role will include working alongside a multi-disciplinary team to support young people to step out of substance use.

You will be an individual who is focused on building rapport, engaging young people in change and helping our youth make positive choices.

Your key responsibilities will be to:

  • Provide support and supervision to young people participating in the program. Establishing positive working relationships
  • Provide education programs for young people including living skills and building interpersonal skills
  • Organise, facilitate and participate in recreation and sports activities for young people
  • Alongside young people maintain facilities and complete meal preparation
  • Contribute to case planning-monitoring meetings with the Case Coordinator
  • Maintain residential files ensuring behaviour records, progress notes are filed correctly
  • Support participants to maintain acceptable standards of participant conduct
  • Resolve participant complaints or refer them to supervisor
  • Provide supervision of participants for off-site activities

Requirements for Success

  • Relevant qualification or experience in working with youth in the community
  • Knowledge of mental health issues, substance use treatment and working with youth
  • Demonstrated sound interpersonal and communication skills
  • Understanding of adolescent mental health issues and duty of care
  • Apply First Aid Certificate

Before starting work with us, you will need to undertake a national police history check, qualifications and referee checks, and have a clearance to work with children/vulnerable people.
