About Montrose:

With more than 80 years of experience behind us, Montrose has evolved into a modern, client focused service provider supporting children and young people with disability throughout Queensland. We offer a diverse range of high quality therapy and support services including our Lifestyle & Leisure programs, Short Stay Respite and many different group therapy programs.

About the Role:

We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Speech Pathologist to join our team providing therapy to our predominantly pediatric clients from our Brisbane South Service Centre based at Darra. In this role you are likely to travel to home and school visits or to our clinics as required. We provide company vehicles for this travel but you may also use your own vehicle at times.

As an experienced therapist within our multidisciplinary team you will have the opportunity to provide mentoring and supervision to less experienced therapists. We also offer project opportunities to work as a Discipline Lead, contributing to the research and resources available to all therapists. To support you, we also have Allied Health Assistants who support therapy teams to deliver ongoing programs for our clients.

An immediate start is available for the successful candidate.

Some of the benefits you get working with us:

  • Generous Professional Development budget
  • Structured supervision and mentoring program
  • Company provided laptop, iPad (loaded with relevant Apps for your therapy sessions) & mobile phone
  • Salary sacrifice of up to $15,900 (more money in your hand)
  • 9-day fortnight options
  • Additional paid leave over Christmas (with public holidays this usually means a full paid week off over Christmas)
  • Additional company paid parental leave
  • Ability to purchase additional leave
  • Access to our Employee Assistance Program for you and your immediate family to enhance your wellbeing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide assessments, intervention and management of children and young adults with physical disabilities, developmental delays, communication impairments and other associated disabilities.
  • Design and implement goal achievement plans for clients
  • Provide evidence based therapy to achieve customer goals.

As an NDIS Registered Provider background screening is important to us, therefore you will need to demonstrate:

  • A tertiary qualification in Speech Pathology and current full membership with Speech Pathology Australia.
  • Current Blue Card/Yellow Card and CPR Certificate
  • Certificate of completion - NDIS Worker Orientation Module.
  • A current drivers' license and access to a reliable vehicle are essential for service provision.

The Montrose Point of Difference:

Our point of difference is providing a multidisciplinary team of qualified therapists who are passionate about providing quality services to our clients and their families. We also take pride in being able to support families in need through our philanthropic work and providing social work services. Being part of the Montrose community means you are making a positive difference to so many lives.

We have established a best practice supervision program where your professional growth and development will be nurtured and supported. When you join Montrose, you unite with talented and passionate people who share a common purpose and unwavering determination to increase quality of life for all clients. You will find a workplace that is collaborative, progressive and passionate.
