Administrative Support Officer

Job Title: Administrative Support Officer
Job Grade / Classification: Clerk Grade 3/4
Employment Type: Ongoing, Full-Time
Location: Mudgee

About the Role:
The Administrative Support Officer works with the NPWS Mudgee team responsible for managing a diverse range of reserves in the Mudgee region and the Greater Blue Mountains World Heritage Area. The role provides administrative support for the team and is responsible for managing and promoting visitor attractions in the area including campgrounds and homestead accommodation. This public facing role provides visitor and customer information on a diverse range of topics from invoices and licences to tourism information and is also involved in bushfire response. 

Essential requirements:
• Experience in administration including experience in the use of computer-based systems such as word processing, spreadsheet and records management systems.
• Knowledge of financial and human resource management procedures, policies and practices, and contract administration

To be successful in the role, ideally you will have:
• Customer service skills
• Good time management skills
• Aptitude for learning and adaptation

Agency overview
The Planning, Industry and Environment Cluster brings together the functions from the former Planning & Environment and Industry Clusters.

The new Cluster will drive for greater levels of integration and efficiency across key areas such as long term planning, precincts, housing, property, infrastructure priorities, open space, the environment, our natural resources – land, water, mining – energy, and growing our industries. In particular, there will be a redoubling of emphasis on regional NSW.

National Parks and Wildlife Service (NPWS) manages, conserves and cares for land in national parks and reserves. NPWS links customer, conservation and cultural outcomes in a sustainable way by building participation in the management and use of parks.
