School Officer - Curriculum & International Student Administration

Full-Time Contract Position (Maternity Leave)

Located at Spring Hill, close to Brisbane CBD, St James College is a Catholic co-educational secondary school in the Edmund Rice Tradition.  The College is multicultural with many students from overseas.

The College is seeking to appoint a person who is a self-starter, possesses excellent data entry, computer and office administration skills as well as being a team player.  The position requirements are inclusive of but not limited to:

  • data entry and analysis
  • understanding of curriculum procedures
  • ability to work with complexities and knowledge of international student enrolments and compliance
  • understanding and awareness of different cultural contexts
  • working and liaising with agents in a range of situations
  • ability to relate to students
  • excellent communication and administration skills.

The position may suit someone with previous experience in an education setting and administration qualifications.  This is a Level 4 School Officer position.  The successful candidate will commence on Monday, 17 February 2020.

Applicants must hold a current Positive Notice Blue Card for child related employment.  All applicants for this position will be subjected to screening procedures as detailed in the Commission for Children and Young People and Child Guardian legislation.  These checks are consistent with Edmund Rice Education Australia’s commitment to child protection policies and procedures.
