RAC Finance - Consumer Loan Processor

RAC Finance specialises in the delivery of a range of quality finance products ranging from property finance development, investment notes and a tailored personal loans product specialising in a competitive motor vehicle finance product.

The opportunity to join our Consumer New Business team on a permanent basis will provide the successful candidate the chance to be part of a motivated, busy team and thrive in a fast-paced working environment.  This key role is responsible for the preparation of loan documents through to settlement by providing valued services to achieve more for our members. 

What will you be doing?

  • Preparing and verifying supporting loan documentation
  • Following up incomplete, inconsistent, missing or outstanding documentation from customers and Member Service Centres
  • Conducting compliance and due diligence checks whilst adhering to legislative and policy requirements
  • Performing basic calculations to ascertain income and expenses from various documents
  • Creating customer loan files and accurately preparing loan contract/cheques for signing, following compliance procedures
  • Liaising with the customer throughout the loan document and settlement process
  • Assisting with loan sign-ups for customers at the West Perth branch as required
  • Promoting consumer loan protection to customers to achieve sales targets

What are we looking for in you?

  • Experience in consumer loan document preparation is mandatory
  • Previous loan assessment experience is desirable (banking or finance industry experience preferred)
  • Experience in a customer service role is preferable
  • Tier 2 (RG146) accreditation would be well regarded
  • Ability to build strong customer relationships and deliver customer-centric solutions
  • Capacity to develop and deliver multi-mode communications that convey a clear understanding of the unique needs of different audiences
  • Strong planning, prioritising and decision making skills
  • Highly developed attention to detail, time management and organisational skills
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Ability to work as part of a team and make a significant contribution towards team results and KPIs
