Mobile Plant Operator

Kimberley Regional Service Providers (KRSP) provides a range of quality services including maintenance, repair and capital works that improve the quality of life for Indigenous people living in the Kimberley Region of Western Australia.

With a presence in Broome and regional Kimberley locations including Fitzroy Crossing and Kununurra, KRSP have a reputation for technical innovation, reliability, quality of workmanship and professional services.

ABOUT THE POSITION

This position is an excellent opportunity for an experienced mobile plant operator to join a dedicated team on a fixed term contract basis.

Reporting to the Field Operations Supervisor, the Mobile Plant Operator will have responsibility to maintain municipal service infrastructure in remote Aboriginal communities including:

  • Firebreak maintenance
  • Maintenance of landfill sites
  • Public area vegetation management
  • Unsealed road works including drainage structures  

The position will function as a part of a small, three person team on a Drive In / Drive Out basis from Broome or surrounding locations to Aboriginal communities in the Kimberley region extending as far as Kununurra.

The roster is 3 weeks on / 1 week off with accommodation provided by the Company when travelling for work purposes.  

ABOUT YOU

We are seeking a motivated and experienced plant operator who is comfortable working remotely as part of a small team. You will be licensed and have good practical skills in the operation of a front end loader, small excavator and bobcat.  Applicants with an MC license will be highly regarded.

A mechanical trade would be an advantage but is not essential.  Current residents of the West Kimberley are preferred, however candidates from other locations will be considered
