The Role

The Administration Officer is responsible for providing high quality administration support to the Executive Officer and the Rockhampton Diocesan Central Council and other work as required. The position works in accordance with St Vincent de Paul Society Queensland policies, procedures and philosophy.

 

To be successful in the role, you will meet the following criteria:

  • Relevant Tertiary or Tafe Qualification or equivalent experience in Business Administration / Management
  • Demonstrated experience and understanding in general office support functions, data entry and the ability to perform a broad range of clerical functions
  • Understanding and ability to effective use a computer whilst demonstrating ability in MS Office programs
  • Ability to work unsupervised at times as well as an effective team member
  • Contribute positively within a team environment
  • Demonstrate a friendly, positive attitude, with a willingness to learn
  • Effective communication and time manage skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentially on information at all times
  • Demonstrate genuine respect for all people regardless of their situation
  • Understanding of and commitment to the philosophy of the St Vincent de Paul Society Queensland and an ability to work in accordance with policies and procedures to promote the values and mission of the Society
  • Understanding of risk management principles including current WHS legislation and regulations
