Technical Officer (Electrical) - Tableland Mill

Applications are invited for the position of Technical Officer (Electrical) to join the MSF Sugar team.

This is a fulltime position, located at our Tableland Mill, which is approximately 25km west of Mareeba on the Atherton Tablelands.

The Technical Officer (Electrical) is a dual role incorporating maintenance and operational aspects. During the crushing season the Technical Officers are part of the production team on a rotating shift conducting operational and maintenance duties as required for the operation of the sugar mill. During the non-crushing season you will report directly to the Electrical Supervisor.

The Technical Officer (Electrical) will be qualified as an electrical fitter/ mechanic and must possess a current Qld Electrical Workers’ License. Sugar Mill or other industrial experience would be well regarded; however qualified electrical trade persons with other experience should also apply.

To be successful in this role you will need to demonstrate the following skills and attributes:

  • Safety focused
  • Qualified Electrical Fitter/ Mechanic and must possess a current Qld Electrical Workers’ License
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Self-motivated
  • Ability to work in a team environment

As our operation is continuous 24/7, during the crushing season, you will need to ensure you are available to work all hours required on a rostered, rotational basis.

This is an outstanding opportunity for a self-motivated and experienced tradespersons, who have good communication skills and enjoy achieving team goals.
