Key responsibilities

  • Providing administrative and technical support for the PFR team of Underwriters based in Perth by ensuring accurate premium booking, ensuring policy and endorsement issuance to brokers is completed accurately and according to timelines, ensuring premium payments are received and broker debt register tasks are completed within individual deadlines and adherence to attestation and underwriting guidelines in efile administration.
  • Liaising closely with the Underwriters, Operations Manager, claims, risk management and other key staff to ensure seamless delivery of underwriting services.
  • Assisting the Underwriters and Operations Manager in ensuring data quality.
  • Ensuring that brokers and clients receive a high level of underwriting service that differentiates Liberty from its competitors.
  • Maintaining a highly effective and responsive working relationship with Underwriting team, customers, peers and other departments.

 

Qualifications and Soft Skills

  • Previous insurance experience in a similar role is required;
  • Excellent communication skills;
  • Comfortable with working with teams in different locations and time zones to your own;
  • Strong ability to learn new systems with proven technical skills;
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills;
  • Strong ability to improve current systems and take initiatives to streamline processes;
  • Proven ability to work to deadlines and handle multiple tasks within a pressured environment;
  • Ability to be a self-starter and a flexible and positive team player;
  • High level of professionalism and client-servicing skills; and
  • Excellent working knowledge of PC-based systems and applications such as Outlook, Word (strong and demonstrable skills in document creation and formatting) and Excel (intermediate level), and database systems.
