Project Engineer

Who you'll be working with: 

METASITE provides specialist Project Management and Professional Services to the Telecommunications Industry. With a focus on providing quality engineering solutions, we have a steady client base and are undertaking Greenfield and Upgrade rollouts for several of Australia's telecommunications Carriers. Position Summary:

Based in Sydney, the Project Engineer will co-ordinate all project engineering activities to ensure project and business objectives are met. As member of a multi-disciplined team display leadership, responsibility and maturity when engaging with internal and external stakeholders.

What you'll be doing:
  • Develop and maintain high level research skills in order to identify opportunities and constraints to delivering on customer briefs.
  • Develop and maintain a good knowledge of the health and safety issues and risks associated with the mobile telecommunications industry and be able to effectively liaise with stakeholders and the community.
  • Ensure compliance with the Metasite health and safety manual, including other staff working within the team.
  • Develop and maintain a high level of knowledge of all base station components and their specific applications and uses
  • Understand all client imperatives (time, quality, price, KPI, process management etc.)
  • Ensure that appropriate methods of procurement are utilised to achieve maximum value for money for both Metasite and the client.
  • Continue to pursue professional development and training by way of informal and formal training programmes (keep up to date with innovations in the industry by regularly reading trade magazines etc.)
  • Ensure timely production, approval and recharging (where applicable) of third party service invoices.
  • In accordance with Customer requirements and management direction, ensure timely completion of relevant hand over documentation.
  • Manage design drawings and activities through to completion, in close contact with Design team.
  • Undertake site visits in metro and rural regions.
  • Other duties as direct by Metasite
What we're looking for:
  • Degree qualifications in engineering or related area or other suitable qualifications.
  • Effectively, succinctly and accurately communicate in both written and verbal forms across a broad spectrum of stakeholders.
  • Relatively high level numerical analysis skills to provide clear conclusions and recommendations on issues.
  • Organisation skills to co-ordinate multiple tasks on multiple projects in accordance with overall project plan.
  • Understand and support the processes relating to other project disciplines to deliver better outcomes for the customer.
  • Competent with Microsoft Office suite
