Community Safety Programs Officer

About the role

  • Key focus on positive community behaviour change
  • Develop, project manage and deliver road and community safety programs
  • Involvement in grant funded programs
  • Working closely with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders
  • Co-funded by RMS, a majority of the focus of this role is currently on road safety projects & initiatives

About you

We are looking for a highly competent professional with solid experience in working with industry or government to deliver community-oriented road and community safety programs. The successful candidate will have experience in undertaking research to identify local community safety needs and hold tertiary qualifications in Community Development, Communications, Behavioural Sciences, Education, Engineering, Health Promotion or other relevant discipline.

Desired outcomes will be achieved through consulting, networking and building collaborative partnerships with key internal and external stakeholders. The ideal candidate will therefore possess high level project management skills and strong interpersonal, communication and customer service skills.
