FV are a not for profit sporting organisation run by a Board of Directors, elected by football stakeholders made up of Zone Representatives and Standing Committees. We reinvest any revenue generated by the game in a financially prudent manner, prioritising in providing more coaching, education, facilities, support and participation opportunities to the community and our partners back to where it is needed most.

We currently employ over 70 staff to deliver on the recently released FV Strategic Plan (“FootbALLways”) and administration of weekly football matches, producing annual football fixtures and appropriate rules of competition. Referees are also appointed to these matches to facilitate a safer and more enjoyable participation experience.

We also deliver education programs and resources to talented players, coaches, referees and club volunteers while promoting the game through various channels, keeping our members informed regularly through a dedicated communications program. 

The role is responsible for producing engaging video/multimedia content to support internal and external communications for Football Victoria.

Responsibilities for this role include: 

  • Working with staff members to develop creative briefs;
  • Manage video production priorities across the business;
  • Following briefs to produce creative and engaging videos, for use in external and internal communications across Football Victoria’s digital channels and at events;
  • Using initiative to source engaging and appropriate stories to complement communication engagement activities and strategies;
  • Editing using video editing software and incorporating after-effects as needed including motion graphics, layout, and animation to prepare content for publication;
  • Manage studio equipment for audio recordings, including podcasts;
  • Monitoring, tracking and reporting on videos analytics, and providing analysis;
  • Ensuring that videos produced adhere to digital accessibility requirements, use captions and always maintain our brand integrity;
  • Managing the video library, and sourcing/shooting appropriate footage to build a comprehensive library as required;

  • Stay informed and up-to-date on trends and developments in audio-visual production;
  • Apply different video production styles to a range of communication channels and target audiences; and
  • Participate in team meetings and regular training programs within the workplace.

Highly desirable candidates will have a tertiary qualification in, or substantial professional experience in communications, multimedia or similar field with detail of relevant skills and projects.
