Rotor-Lift is a Hobart based organisation providing world class aeromedical, search and rescue services to those in need 24/7, plus training, charter, and utility helicopter work. The company is proudly Tasmanian owned and operated and has been based in Hobart serving Tasmanians for 18 years.


Rotor-Lift is seeking to recruit an Licenced Avionics Aircraft Maintenance Engineer to carry out maintenance, repair, overhaul, modification, assembly, and testing on the aircraft fleet in a safe and efficient manner, and to a high standard. This role is based at Hobart Airport and will report to the Chief Engineer.


Key position accountabilities and responsibilities are:

Assisting the Engineering team with major aircraft inspections, repairs, aircraft modifications, overhauls and trouble shooting

Communicating any abnormalities and ensuring that all maintenance and defect rectification is carried out to the relevant design and quality standards

Carrying out maintenance activities in accordance with approved company, manufacturer and Airworthiness Authority manuals

Effectively planning work activities in accordance with tasks and timeframes allocated by the Chief Engineer

Completing paperwork in an accurate and timely manner

Maintaining a positive, tidy and safe working environment


To be considered for this opportunity you will be required to have:

Current Drivers Licence

LAME B2 experience in the aviation industry

BK117 type ratings and experience

Experience on AS355/AS350, B206 would prove valuable but not essential

Demonstrated experience working in an EMS environment would be preferable

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Experience with Air Maestro and Aero Track beneficial
