Procurement Analyst - Fixed Term 24 Months

The KC-30A tanker is used to deliver air-to-air refuelling and transport capability for both the RAAF and coalition assets.

We are entering an exciting period of significant investment and progress in Australia and are currently seeking an experienced Procurement Analyst who will be responsible for the coordination and execution of activities associated with the procurement of materials, supplies and services required to meet the KC-30A Program and business outcomes.

Key duties and responsibilities:

  • Identify and engage suppliers with the capability to deliver the requirements of the Business Unit/ Program.
  • Request and evaluate quotations/ proposals from suppliers for materials, supplies, equipment and services to ensure value for money and probity in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Compiles and analyses statistical data to determine feasibility of buying products and/ or services and to establish price objectives.
  • Raise purchase orders in accordance with company policies and procedures, to support business and program requirements.
  • Proactively interacts with suppliers, to ensure that services, materials, supplies, and equipment are shipped and delivered on contracted dates.
  • Management and maintenance of company and customer electronic Management Systems and associated applications, databases, processes and procedures.
  • Leads regular supplier meetings and performance reviews.
  • Ensure that all procurement issues are dealt with in a timely and efficient manner and to the satisfaction of the customers, both internal and external.
  • Reviews proposals, negotiates prices, selects or recommends suppliers and analyse trends.

Qualifications / Skills required:

  • An Australian citizen capable of attaining and maintaining an Australian Defence Security Clearance.
  • Tertiary qualification in Business/Supply Chain (or relevant).
  • Demonstrated experience with procurement of aeronautical products.
  • Knowledge and experience in a procurement/commodity complex capital asset environment.
  • Strong computer literacy including proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite of products in particular Microsoft Word and Excel.

Desirable:

  • Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply (CIPS).
  • Knowledge and experience in the use of MILIS, or similar Inventory Management Systems.
  • Knowledge and experience of Export/Import and Compliance Controls.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience with Defence procurement regulations.

Note: As a Defence security clearance is required for this role, applicants must be Australian Citizens. International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) are applicable, as such your nationality may be a factor in determining your suitability for this role.
