Your Opportunity

Located in Dubbo, the AOD Support Worker will provide co-ordinated care and psychosocial support to individuals who are engaged in clinical substance use treatment. You will engage in providing case management and case co-ordination to individuals with drug and alcohol needs including housing, parenting and family support, income and employment. You will be required to be creative in addressing issues and challenges that are faced by participants in order to achieve the desired outcomes.

Your key responsibilities will be to:

  • Respond to referrals of clients to the service from internal and external support services
  • Conduct functional assessments of suitability for support
  • Maintain relationships with key stakeholders including clinical drug and alcohol treatment services including Western Local Health District and Non-Government Providers
  • Work with clients to create individualized support plans addressing psychosocial needs
  • Respond to any emergency issues or dangerous situations via support services
  • Provide ongoing case management sessions with clients and review progression
  • Assist clients in the process of transition out of the service into the community

 Requirements for Success

  • Qualifications in Drug and Alcohol, Community Services or Case Management
  • Experience providing Case Management to individuals with complex needs
  • Understanding of substance use disorders and mental illness
  • Current NSW driver�s license

Before starting work with us, you will need to undertake a national police history check, qualifications and referee checks, and have a clearance to work with children/vulnerable people.
