About the client  

Our client is a market leader in their field with a reputable brand name and a portfolio of high class goods & services. Due to recent growth & acquisition they are seeking a talented individual to join the team on a temporary basis with a view to permanency for an exceptional candidate.

Your responsibilities

Reporting to the Finance Manager this is an excellent opportunity to take ownership of the general ledger and provide support to a key business unit. Your duties will include (but are not limited to): 
  • Take ownership of the month end process and drive co-ordination;
  • Reconcile consolidated general ledger balances to the fixed asset sub ledger including Fixed Asset additions, disposals and transfers on a monthly basis;
  • Calculate process and reconcile profit or loss on sale and disposal on a monthly basis;
  • Process fixed asset additions, disposals and transfers into the fixed asset register on a timely basis;
  • Work closely with senior stakeholders to highlight potential process improvements;
  • Ad hoc as requested by senior leaders.
The successful applicant 

Ideally, you will be a CA/CPA qualified accounting professional with a background in a US business or a large, complex environment. You will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills as your ability to interact and engage cross functionally within the business will be crucial to your success. Experience using SAP is desirable.
