Mediaocean is seeking a Quality Assurance Analyst to join our team in Melbourne. The ideal candidate doesn’t necessarily need a QA or computer science background but some related technical degree is a significant plus. The candidate must have an interest in software and a passion for learning. An eye for detail and an ability to work on a team are essential qualities for our QA Analyst.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Review and analyze user stories to determine reasonability, testability, resource requirements and sequencing
  • Provide work estimates for testing user stories
  • Create and execute test cases on web based products
  • Develop test cases from business requirements
  • Identify and raise risks as early as possible in the system development life cycle
  • Create test data as required
  • Identify and log defects, work with development to resolve, and verify fixes when implemented
  • Interaction with Dev and QA members in the team
  • Participate in the identification and implementation of continuous improvement in process and standards for the entire team

Who you are:

  • 0-2 years of experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Some technical aptitude and computational thinking
  • Knowledge of programming concepts, SQL (preferred but not required)
  • Basic understanding of web applications
  • An interest in learning more about software and development
  • Open communication style
  • Able to work in a team environment
  • Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Willing to take ownership and initiative
  • Open to giving/receiving critical feedback
