We're exclusively representing an international software company with a strong reputation and body of work in a niche industry sector. Their product is well respected in the Government and Enterprise space, they are well established in the Australian market, and they have all the technical knowledge and support to continue winning clients throughout the region.

 

The Role

Reporting to the Director of Sales and Business Development, Asia Pacific, the National Sales Manager focuses on the Emergency Services industry.

The role includes Business Development of new and existing customers and requires a confident and relatable expert who can create and seize opportunities by forging strong relationships with various stakeholders within each customer, maximizing the service and value for their business as a whole.

You should have the ability to enter a customer site well in advance of knowing there is an opportunity, discover needs, identify the buying circle and process, communicate value, and manage the opportunity through to pricing, negotiation, and eventual signing/contracting.

 

The National Sales Manager:

  • Has ownership of the bid approval process
  • Maintains and expands relationships with named and new logo customers.
  • Drives the development of quotations and proposals in response to Sole Source or Public Procurements.
  • Completes strategic customer account management plans that meet company standards.
  • Engages with Customer Success Managers, and Product Managers to communicate customer needs-driven product enhancements.
  • Helps grow the customer base by identifying and progressing new opportunities.  
  • Understands that it takes a company to close a deal and enlists the support of specialists, implementation resources, service resources, and other management resources as needed.  
  • Leads presentation preparation and execution scenarios.
  • Regular travel within Australia (and some overseas travel) is expected. (All air travel is economy class.)

 

Skills

We're looking for an eager, proactive professional with the following:

  • 5+ years in enterprise technology solution sales.
  • Strong writing skills.
  • History of accurate forecasting and successfully performing on target quota attainment.
  • Ability to call on new people within an account, request meetings, expand the network, and engage with all levels of a customer organization.
  • Ability to clearly present and articulate a value proposition.
  • Ability to build strong relationships quickly, both internally and with customers.
  • A passionate ‘can-do’ mindset focused on understanding and addressing customer needs.
  • Very strong team leadership and people management skills, including demonstrated team leadership experience, motivating individuals and/or teams to excel.
  • Ability to manage customer expectations across multiple levels of the customer organization.
  • Ability to efficiently coordinate several opportunities in parallel.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with staff and customers; 
  • Eager to learn and utilize available tools to exceed in sales.
  • Sound ability in Microsoft products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Excited to learn new skills and concepts quickly and thoroughly.
  • Any knowledge of or experience with the Transport/Fleet Management or Ambulance/Emergency Services industries will be highly advantageous!

 

This is a full-time role based in the Brisbane CBD (with some travel). A competitive salary package with good commissions and bonuses will be negotiated for the successful candidate.
