In this role, you will be responsible for providing timely, accurate and compliant incentives, accounting, and controllership activities across the Australian and New Zealand business. The Role

In this highly diverse role, you will be responsible for the Financial Control of Australian and New Zealand companies, providing financial guidance to local management and oversee operating expenditure. Reporting to the General Manager Australia & New Zealand, and functionally to the Director Finance & Controlling APAC, you will be responsible for oversight and supervision of preparation of statutory accounts, management reporting, tax, compliance and audit.

The role will be required to identify areas for improvement in processes and systems to support the business in becoming more effective, efficient and reliable.

You will also be responsible to:

  • Lead the business performance process - planning, budgeting, analysis etc.
  • Help drive change management and continuous improvement
  • Lead an established finance team on-site
  • Partner with all areas of the business to provide analysis, insight and influence key decision making

Your Skills & Experience

  • CPA or CA qualified with a degree in Accounting, Commerce, Finance, Economics or related field.
  • Outstanding Finance & Accounting experience spanning 10+ years, including at least five years in a senior role
  • Experience within FMCG/Retail/Distribution industry would be highly regarded
  • Excellent technology, analytical and management experience required.
  • Strong proficiency in Excel and other Microsoft Program skills, experience with SAP is highly desirable
  • Impactful communication skills, both oral and written, and ability to build and deliver effective presentations.
  • Strong analytical skills, accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Impressive leadership skills, with demonstrated ability to engender and manage organizational change.
  • Ability and willingness to meet business critical deadlines
  • Role model and active promoter of teamwork
  • Change and project management skills
