We have a full time opportunity for an Accounts Officer to join our team here at IKON.

The responsibilities:

The Accounts Officer is responsible for providing day to day administrative, reporting, and accounts payable & receivable support services including payment processing, control of debtor & creditor accounts, verifying and reconciling invoicing and preparation and data account entry.

  • Review and verify invoices and check requests
  • Sort, code and match invoices
  • Enter and upload invoices into system
  • Prepare and process electronic transfers and payments
  • Prepare analysis of accounts
  • Monitor accounts to ensure payments are up to date
  • Maintain vendor files
  • Correspond with vendors and respond to inquiries
  • Provide supporting documentation for audits

About you:

Successful applicants will possess the following skills;

  • Demonstrated experience within accounts receivable/accounts payable and general ledger transactions within the GST environment
  • Ability to communicate and build relations successfully at various levels internally and externally including strong vendor interface
  • Numeracy skills – ability to work with complex numeri’s, track budget expenses, and analyse spreadsheets
  • Comprehensive knowledge of computer programs and PC proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Power point, Outlook, MYOB, etc.
  • Demonstrated ability with multi project management, delivering against deadlines, attention to detail and accuracy
  • Competency and understanding of basic accounting principles, budget expense tracking, analysing information, and accurate data entry skills
