Buying Assistant - Health & Beauty

An exciting opportunity for a Buying Assistant working in the health and beauty category has become available within the Corporate Buying department of ALDI Stores, based in Minchinbury. This position is an 18 month fixed-term contract.

Our Buying Assistants work within a fast paced, highly administrative and ever-changing environment. Being highly organised and adaptable, with the ability to build strong supplier relationships is essential to success in this challenging and rewarding position.

 

This integral role assists the Buying Director in sourcing, developing and evaluating the health and beauty category - from product concept to shelf readiness!

 

 

Selection criteria:

  • Exceptional organisational skills with the ability to manage conflicting priorities
  • Experience within buying is highly regarded, but not essential
  • Comprehensive administrative experience
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to liaise and coordinate internal and external stakeholders
  • Reporting and analysis experience highly regarded
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy is essential
  • Ability to adapt in high stress situations
  • Ability to learn new programs and processes
  • High level of professionalism and dedication
  • Ability to take on responsibility and work autonomously

Role responsibilities:

  • Assisting the Buying Director in sourcing, developing and evaluating the health and beauty category
  • Assisting the Buying Director in all secretarial and administrative requirements
  • New product development
  • First point of contact for external stakeholders
  • Liaise and build strong relationships with various suppliers
  • Coordinate and organise internal and external stakeholders, in order to meet project deadlines
  • Assist with artwork design
  • Product specification development
  • Advertising brief and sample management
  • Assist in problem solving and product delivery/process issues
  • Stock forecasting and planning
  • Providing and preparing information required for product sampling
  • Maintain confidential product and supplier records
