We have a great opportunity for an experienced Accounts Lead to join our wonderful Finance Team at our office in Osborne Park. This is a permanent full time position.

The Accounts Lead leads the effective and efficient function of Avivo’s Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable operations. This role is responsible for leadership of the Accounts functions and team, developing team members to optimise their contribution to the organisation and optimising the use of systems within the team, leading the resolution of systems, process and data issues impacting the accounts team. As part of the finance lead team, this role works closely with the Financial Controller and contributes to the leadership of the broader finance team.

Duties include (but are not limited to):

  • Leads the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions, including:
  • Accounts Payable: timely and accurate processing, authorisation and payment of supplier invoices; accurately coding invoice transactions for financial and management reporting, maintaining accurate and robust records in the Accounts Payable ledger; resolving supplier queries in a timely and professional manner, consulting and directing queries to appropriate staff as needed
  • Accounts Receivable: timely and accurate production, receipting and debt collection of customer invoices; accurately coding invoice transactions for financial and management
  • Supports the development of team members to optimise their contribution to the organisation
  • Optimises the use of systems within the team and leads the resolution of systems, process and data issues impacting the accounts team in partnership with the Systems Accountant and Financial Accountant to lead
  • Identifies gaps or opportunities to streamline processes and procedures, and develops and implements training on Accounts processes and procedures within the team and across the organisation as required
  • Works safely and follows Avivo’s Occupational Health and Safety policies and procedures. Identifies, manages and reports risks, incidents and hazards

Selection Criteria

  • Displays attitudes and behaviours that demonstrate Avivo’s vision and values.
  • Minimum 4 years relevant functional leadership experience with a mix of accounts receivable and accounts payable
  • Ability to optimise use of systems and build technical capability within a team
  • Demonstrated team leadership and performance management experience (minimum 4 years)
  • Ability to develop and deliver a collaborative team culture focussed on customer service
  • Demonstrated project management and continuous improvement identification and implementation
  • Good problem solving and decision-making skills.
  • Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with other Microsoft Office applications
  • Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills and the ability to relate well to all people
  • Previous experience using an ERP system.

In return, you will have access to some great benefits! A salary of $82,075 is on offer plus 9.5% super along with the option of salary packaging up to $18,550 per annum. We actively support the ongoing training and development of our staff.
