BRAND NEW KENSINGTON SITE - opening March 2020

Sensational Kids has been offering the community 12 years of tailor-made, individual and group therapy on offer to our community.  It is a company based on strong values of integrity, learning, fun, professionalism and innovation. We are an energetic, creative and skilled team and are looking for motivated, friendly and talented Occupational Therapists and Psychologists to join our team.

We see kids aged 0-18 and provide child and family-centred therapy incorporating a range of therapeutic models including DIR Floortime well as other models for best practice.

We have two positions on offer (Speech position recently filled):

Occupational Therapist:  Early career clinicians welcome to apply. We would love someone who is looking to grow within the role.  If you are a mid-career professional, we can provide support and training to help you develop your professional supervisory skills and leadership skills with view to becoming one of our valued team-leads.  Caseload is a varied mix of groups and individual therapy, largely clinic based but also with fun opportunities to get out into the community, homes and schools of our young clients. This is a full or part time position, Saturdays desirable.

Psychologist: We are seeking an Educational/ Developmental/ Clinical Psychologist with experience in the private disability sector. Must have at least 1 year experience with the paediatric population.  Caseload can range from anxiety through to behaviour management, parent support, grief and loss, school refusal, ADHD, ODD, ASD populations. Professional support, supervision, team training and professional development on offer to the right candidate with view to supporting you as a mid-career clinician. Team lead possibilities and project work opportunities including supervision of others is available for more experienced clinicians. This is a 4-day to full time position. Must be able to work Saturdays.  Would consider options such as 3 days + Saturdays.

What we are looking for:

We are very careful with who we select to be part of our team, as our team is pretty special. We are looking for fun, energetic, positive team members who don't mind a challenge, thrive on an interesting and varied caseload and who are happy to support and be supported by our team.

If you join, you will be part of a brilliant team of Speech Pathologists, OTs, Psychologists, Dietitians and Music Therapists. We work hard and play hard too!

As an OT or Psych on our team you will provide assessment and treatment of children and adolescents, and support/ training for parents. That’s our bread and butter. You may also be obliged to eat cupcakes if it’s someone’s birthday, attend our awesome end of year party or the many social events we run throughout the year (we have some mean lawn bowlers in the team and even better wine and cheese connoisseurs!) or take part in our whole team training days or frequent PDs.

If this sounds like your cup of tea (or coffee, or kombucha - we don’t discriminate) we’d love to hear from you.
