TAE Trainer and Assessor - Certificate IV TAE40116

St John Ambulance Australia (VIC) has served the community for over 135 years. We work for the service of humanity, existing to help those who are in sickness, distress, suffering or danger.
  
As part of our ongoing services to the community, St John are now offering the Certificate IV in Training and Assessment TAE40116, and as such we are looking to engage casual TAE training professionals to deliver this quality program. Our program comes in 3 different forms, the full TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, an upgrade program from TAE40110 to TAE40116, and the Assessor Skill set. Our program is primarily face-to-face in the classroom, with some work being undertaken online. You will be required to provide support to students over the enrolment period, guide their success to course completion, and facilitate their learning using an e-learning platform.
  
This great opportunity is suited to energetic, talented and passionate trainers who wish to make a genuine and rewarding contribution to the community. As a TAE Trainer and Assessor, you will be delivering commercial training to corporate and public clients in accordance with training national frameworks, training quality standards, as well as organisational policies, procedures and protocols.
  
Essential Skills and Attributes (Selection Criteria):
  • Diploma of Training and Design and Development (TAE50211 or TAE50216); or Diploma of Vocational and Training TAE50111 or TAE50116; or Higher “Adult" Education qualification.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in delivering TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.
  • Minimum availability of 1 day per week over a 30-week period initially, and able to work weekends and evenings.
  • Experience using learning management system (LMS) software and online e-learning platforms, such as Moodle.
  • Preparedness to train groups of adults in their workplaces and our training centres, representing St John in a professional manner.
  • Self- motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Positive can-do attitude and flexible approach.
  • Outstanding customer service focus and strong communication skills.
  • Highly organised and reliable.
  • Good computer skills and Microsoft Office use, i.e. Word, PowerPoint, Outlook.
  • Willingness to travel across CBD and regional.
  • Current Driver Licence, reliable vehicle and roadworthy.
  • Willingness to undertake a current Police Check and Working with Children Check.
  
Note: Commercial training experience in the health and education sector is desirable but not essential. If you possess the Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116), this is also desirable.
