Legal & Compliance Lawyer (3 to 5 Years PAE)

Rare role in the Perth market for a Lawyer wishing to step away from private practice.  Varied and interesting workload with scope to learn.

Your role will be to prepare, review and negotiate a varied range of commercial and operational documents ensuring these comply with both Australian and International law.

We welcome applications from candidates with 3 to 5 Years post admission experience (please note we are not looking for senior level candidates). You will have gained exposure to a variety of legal and compliance matters and have the experience to identify and address legal and regulatory issues within the business.

Day-to-day duties will include:

  • Providing advice to the business on a range of legal matters (corporate commercial advice, privacy, competition and consumer laws, property and leasing issues, IP and general litigation issues).
  • Drafting, reviewing and negotiating a variety of agreements /contracts for the business
  • Reviewing marketing material (website, social media, point-of-sale)
  • Drafting terms and conditions for trade promotions
  • Assist with internal reporting requirements relating to legal and compliance functions
  • Providing advice to internal staff on a range of matters (commercial contracts, compliance, IP etc)
  • Oversee compliance requirements, ensuring regulation
  • You will also be responsible for providing leadership to a Compliance Officer

To be considered for this exceptional opportunity, you will need to meet the following criteria:

  • Between 3 to 5 years PAE
  • An unrestricted practising certificate is essential
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a wider team
  • Able to adapt to different circumstances, whilst working under pressure
  • Solid commercial and regulatory knowledge

Please note our client is located between Belmont and Ascot in a corporate office which includes a swimming pool!  Parking onsite is provided.
