About LikeMind:

The LikeMind service is a mental health initative funded by the NSW Ministry of Health.  Aftercare is the lead agency of LikeMind in Orange and Wagga Wagga.  In partnership with local health and community Organisations, LikeMind aims to improve access to care for adults with mental health concerns across four core streams (mental health, primary health, drug and alcohol, and vocational/psychosocial)

Role Overview:

  • Undertake triaging/intake of new referrals to the service;
  • Provide high standard mental health assessments, involving case formulations, risk assessments, and the development and, coordination, of recovery care plans;
  • Provision of evidence based therapeutic interventions (individual and group programs);
  • Collaborative consultation with consumers, their families/significant others and relevant service systems to respond appropriately to assessed mental health needs at the individual and community level;
  • Ongoing liaison and linkage with internal and external service systems regarding the mental health needs of consumers of the service, and of the wider community
  • Active participation in service enhancement activities and initiatives, including participation in activities/requirements associated with the evaluation of interventions, programs and of the wider service

Requirements:

  • Tertiary level education in one of the following: Psychology (general AHPRA reg), Social Work (reg with AASW), Occupational Therapy (full AHPRA reg), Mental Health Nursing (full AHPRA reg)
  • Experience in the provision of clinical mental health assessment and evidence-based interventions
  • Demonstrated computer skills and ability to maintain clinical records; provide statistical data and reports to management as required
  • Well-developed written, verbal and interpersonal skills;
  • Positive, solution-focused attitude with commitment to positively participate in service improvement activities and personal clinical growth
  • Ideally demonstrated experience working in a similar position in the mental health services
