About the role

Applications are invited for the position of Heritage Collections Officer in the Parliamentary Library and Information Service section of the Department of Parliamentary Services.

Reporting to the Coordinator, Heritage and Collections, you will assist with management of the Parliamentary Library's pictorial and heritage collections.  You will also be responsible for updating a variety of library databases, ensuring the accuracy and availability of information published on the intranet and internet.   Other key tasks include updating databases on Members and past Members of Parliament and providing advice regarding supply and reproduction of images.

 

About you

Your administrative and organsiational skills will be of a high standard as are your excellent communication skills.  You are a collaborative, enthusiastic team member, but have the ability to work effectively with limited direction.  This role will suit someone with previous experience working with a pictorial or other special collections.
