At 3 years old, Curio is a fast-growing product and services business focused on the education sector. A large part of Curio’s business is working with education institutions in higher education, and corporate education.

We’re looking for a digital designer with a primary focus on supporting the Advisory/Consulting function, designing websites, learning environments and related assets used for online learning. At times the role will also be used for learning design projects.


This is a contract role working on a project by project basis, around 20 hours p/week.

Key stakeholders

  • Reporting into CEO/Founder
  • Working closely with all other Advisory colleagues
  • Clients, alongside project colleagues

Skills and experience

  • At least 2 years experience working in a Digital Designer, or similar, role
  • Strong knowledge of user-centred, usability and responsive design principles
  • Ability to develop high-fidelity, responsive designs informed by research and briefs
  • Able to quickly produce well documented clickable and/or static mock-ups, using InVision or similar
  • Able to produce client-ready documents and designs
  • Experience working in a consulting or agency environment highly beneficial
  • Understanding of HTML and CSS highly beneficial
  • Understanding and/or experience working with LMS’ such as Canvas a bonus
  • Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) experience a bonus

  • Deliver designs and related documentation for client-facing projects
  • Take part in client meetings where required, to explore and test designs, and scope work
  • Ensure clear and systematic documentation and management of visual assets
  • Participate in all team activities and meetings as required
  • Contribute to ongoing team development and continuous improvement
  • When required, support visual design required of Curio’s broader marketing needs
