Mine Geologist Open Cut

Our Mine Geologist role:

This role reports to the Life of Mine Planning & Studies Leader and forms part of the Life of Mines Studies team. You will be responsible for geological studies contributing to the exploration plan and site projects.

You will be involved in geological interpretation from drilling programs for input into geological block models. You will contribute to writing and bringing together open cut mine feasibility studies. As well as design, set up and implement grade control processes for the open pit and coordinate reconciliation with underground production.

This is a permanent, full-time role on a Monday to Friday roster. Northparkes is a residential mine site, which provides you the professional opportunity whilst going home to your family every night.

Skills and experience

The successful applicant will possess the following essential criteria:

• Bachelors or equivalent in Geology (or related discipline)
• Demonstrated geological experience in an operational mine or in mining studies
• Current NSW Drivers Licence (manual preferred)
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Strong communication skills
