Commencing as soon as possible, we are looking for an Assistant Accountant to be part of our Finance and Corporate Services Team.

As the Assistant Accountant you will deliver internal accountant and finance support to our business as well as deliver excellent member service. You will be responsible for:

• accounts receivable including raising invoices and reconciling payments;

• accounts payable including entering invoices and paying suppliers;

• reconciliation of bank and credit card accounts and of the general ledger, including accruals and provisions;  

• maintaining associated work papers and;

• maintaining a positive and proactive team culture.

As well as experience in the above, it is essential that you have relevant experience gained in a similar role, have  a Bachelor Degree majoring in accounting, be currently working towards a Bachelor Degree or be willing to obtain one.  It is essential that you have experience using Xero.

To ensure success in this role you will have the ability to work autonomously, have an excellent understanding of customer service and have strong communication skills.
