ABOUT THE POSITION

 

An exciting opportunity exists for a passionate, experienced and highly motivated Purchasing Officer to join our team, as we continue our goal to become Australia's largest privately owned beverage company.

Based at our Head Office in Salisbury South, the Purchasing Officer is primarily responsible for purchasing cost effective raw materials, chemicals and consumables to support production.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Maintain supply of raw materials to support production, whilst ensuring inventory targets are achieved.
  • Proactive management and optimisation of inventories for items within assigned categories.
  • Maintain and manage standard costs for items within assigned categories.
  • Ensure purchasing activities comply with Quality and HACCP programs, policies and procedures.
  • Monitor and manage supplier performance, including DIFOT.
  • Coordinate regular cycle counts for items within assigned categories.
  • Participate in weekly NPD meetings and associated sourcing activities.
  • Process purchase requisitions for internal departments.
  • Promote company values of Integrity, Empowerment, Collaboration, Pride and Accountability.

The successful candidate will have:

  • Excellent time management, organisational and problem solving skills.
  • High level of attention to detail.
  • Intermediate to advanced skills in MS Office.
  • A strong teamwork focus and a willingness to learn.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders on all levels.
  • Previous experience in purchasing, procurement or supply chain in an FMCG or Packaging environment would be an advantage.
